Volunteers are a vital part of the Friends organization. Volunteers help with regular activities at the three Grosse Pointe libraries, supporting activities and programs of the Friends group. Volunteers help make the libraries more vital, exciting places to visit.

Among the ways that Friends’ volunteers contribute include: Serve as readers at special programs such as the Grosse Pointe Read Aloud Help to maintain Friends special programs at all three branch library locations Operate the used book carts at the branch libraries as well as a local coffee shop Conduct several book sales throughout the year, which raise funds to support library activities and the purchase of new materials And much more
